The 5th String stocks select models from the Martin Custom Shop built to our specifications. We design these instruments to have the tone and look of the most desirable prewar models with the playability and features that contemporary professional musicians demand. All our custom models have feature forward-shifted scallop-braced Adirondack spruce tops, 1 11/16" fingerboards, long drop-in saddles, vintage cosmetics and appointments and V-shaped necks. We design these guitars to be the instruments we want to play ourselves and believe they offer the best of vintage tone, feel and looks in a modern instrument. While significantly upgraded, in many cases we are selling these guitars for the prices as regular Vintage series instruments. In stock now are D-18V, D-28V, 000-18V and 0-18V Customs.
